BLS CPR/ HEARTSAVER CPR/ FIRST AID/ & AED CERTIFICATION is available for all ages. BLS, Basic Life Support is more in-depth and geared toward medical professionals.

 

BLS courses cover advanced CPR techniques, how to use an AED, and how to respond to a variety of situations. BLS delves deeper into CPR techniques, emphasizing the importance of high-quality chest compressions and advanced airway management.

 

HEARTSAVER CPR is intended for the general public and covers basic CPR techniques and first aid skills. Heartsaver courses are designed to help people respond to everyday emergencies, such as breathing difficulties, injuries, and heart emergencies.

 

Heartsaver courses do not cover the more advanced techniques and barrier devices used by healthcare providers. Heartsaver is suitable for laypersons, focusing on maintaining blood circulation until professional help arrives.

 

NEW Courses are scheduled on an as needed basis and requires preregistration. Instructors are highly qualified & certified by the American Heart Association. All services are available to juveniles & adults. Courses are taught in the lower level of the Pennington Gap Community Center.
